Sam Guthrie lived an uneventful life in a small Kentucky town, until a mining accident triggered his latent mutant powers! He found that he could propel himself through the air at fantastic speeds, and, while doing so, his "blast field" rendered him impervious to harm. Sam realized that he had to use his powers to help bring about a better world, a task he strives to accomplish in the company of X-Force as Cannonball! This is the rare pink variant.
