Paulie has a lot of hope riding on Rocky winning the fight with Apollo. As Rocky's best friend, he helps when he can, giving Rocky meat from the packing plant where he works so Rocky can beef up. Feeling responsible for his sister Adrian, Paulie wants her to settle down before she becomes an old maid. But when Rocky takes a real interest in her and Adrian reciprocates, Paulie goes ballistic. Once again, he feels like the odd man out.
