Jawas find R2-D2 and C-3PO and put them in their sandcrawler that's packed with all models of droids, including an RA-7 servant/spy droid and GNK power droid. At the Lars moisture farm, Owen buys C-3PO and R5-D4 from the Jawas. When R-5's motivator suddenly shorts out, Luke suggests the other astromech droid that's for sale: R2-D2.
